Description

AHN myTube® CT centrifuge tubes 50 mL with flat screw cap are polypropylene laboratory tubes for secure sample handling, centrifugation and intermediate storage. High-quality raw material supports purity requirements and helps reduce the risk of sample contamination. Precise graduation lines enable quick volume checks, while a large writing field on the tube simplifies sample identification. The 50 mL tubes resist high centrifugal forces of up to 20.000 RCF and temperature fluctuations from −80 °C to +121 °C, limiting sample loss under demanding conditions. A three-quarter-turn closure allows convenient one-handed opening and closing. Open tubes are autoclavable at 121 °C for 15 min. This carton format from manufacturer AHN Biotechnologie supplies 20 inner packs of 25 pieces (500 tubes in total). The non-sterile design has a flat lid and a tube height of 115 mm, making the myTube® CT range suitable for routine workflows in research, diagnostics and general laboratory practice where reliable 50 mL conical-style tubes are required.

This article is part of Centrifuge tubes (conical), in Tubes & vials.

Questions about AHN myTube® CT Centrifuge Tubes 50 mL with flat Cap, Case / 20 x 25 pcs.

What is this article?

AHN myTube® CT Centrifuge Tubes 50 mL with flat Cap, Case / 20 x 25 pcs. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes AHN Biotechnologie for laboratory use. It sits in Centrifuge tubes (conical), inside Tubes & vials, in Labware.

A centrifuge tube is conical so a pellet collects at the tip, and it is rated for a relative centrifugal force. A 15 mL tube and a 50 mL tube are different rotors. Polypropylene is the ordinary plastic. The cap has to survive the same force as the tube.

A tube holds a small sample upright. A test tube is the open glass or plastic cylinder. A centrifuge tube is conical so a pellet forms at the tip, and it is rated for a centrifugal force the rotor will actually reach. A vial is a small closed bottle, often for a sample that will sit in an instrument. NMR tubes are a special case: the glass has to be uniform or the spectrum is the tube, not the sample. Laboratory ware is listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
