Description

BOLA Flex tubing NW 19 is an extremely flexible corrugated laboratory hose manufactured from perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA). Circular waves run concentrically around the longitudinal axis, and each end carries a 40 mm cylindrical section that can be connected directly to fittings, stopcocks or olives. Combined with BOLA laboratory screw joints, the connection is fully sealed and suitable for vacuum applications. The 2,5 m length is specified as nominal size NW 19, with an inner diameter of 16 mm, an outer diameter of 18 mm and a wall thickness of 1 mm. Minimum bend radius is 32 mm and maximum pressure load is 2 bar. The PFA material and corrugated geometry deliver chemical resistance together with the flexibility needed for compact instrument and process lines. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer Bohlender, this tubing supports reliable media transfer in laboratory and technical fluid-handling setups.

This article is part of PVC, PTFE & other tubing, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about BOLA Flexible Tubing, NW 19 2,5m Ø 18mm x Ø 16mm PFA, very flexible, with cylind

What is this article?

BOLA Flexible Tubing, NW 19 2,5m Ø 18mm x Ø 16mm PFA, very flexible, with cylind is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in PVC, PTFE & other tubing, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

PVC is the flexible everyday tube for water and mild aqueous liquids. PTFE is the stiff, almost inert tube for solvents. Other polymers sit between them. The bore, the wall and the chemical resistance are the specification, and the tube is cut to length.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
