Description

BOLA Elbow Fitting GL, GL 14 Ø 6,5 mm PTFE is an L-shaped laboratory connector for secure 90-degree joins in tubing and hose systems. Made entirely from polytetrafluoroethylene, it provides two GL-threaded ports so the process medium contacts only PTFE, giving universal chemical resistance to aggressive solvents, acids, bases and many reactive reagents. The 6,5 mm through-bore supports efficient flow; overall length without screw connections is 37 mm, and a 20 mm square section offers a positive wrench grip during assembly. Supplied as one piece and weighing 0,024 kg, the fitting mates with standard GL 14 bottle caps, adapters and laboratory tubing. These BOLA elbow pieces from manufacturer Bohlender are used in analytical chemistry, sample preparation, chromatography support lines and inert-gas manifolds where clean, leak-tight redirects are required. The non-stick PTFE surface resists fouling and simplifies cleaning between runs, helping maintain reproducible fluid paths in research and quality-control work. Compact dimensions and inert construction make the fitting suitable for both benchtop setups and pilot-scale transfer lines that demand chemically stable 90-degree connections.

Questions about BOLA GL Tube Fittings Elbow, GL 14 Ø 6,5 mm PTFE

What is this article?

BOLA GL Tube Fittings Elbow, GL 14 Ø 6,5 mm PTFE is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
