Description
BOLA ground joint/fitting connector NS 29/32 for hose dimensions 6,0 × 8,0 mm is a PTFE laboratory connector for attaching tubes, hard-walled hoses and temperature sensors to standard conical ground joints. Circulating sealing rings on the ground joint help prevent the joint from seizing and improve sealing performance in everyday lab use. An integrated Safe-Lab Combi-nut enables simple securing and release of the cone joint without tools. The unit provides a core ground joint NS 29/32, accepts tubing with inner diameter 6,0 mm and outer diameter 8,0 mm, and has a through-bore of 8 mm. Made entirely from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), it keeps the medium in contact with a chemically robust fluoropolymer surface. This Bohlender BOLA SAFE LAB fitting is supplied as one piece with a net weight of 0,12 kg and is intended for reliable tube and sensor connections on NS 29/32 glassware and apparatus where PTFE construction and easy joint handling are required.

What is this article?
BOLA Ground Joint Tube Fittings, NS 29/32 Ø 6 x 8 mm PTFE, SAFE LAB, PTFE nut is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.
A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.
Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
