Description
BOLA impeller additional blades for PTFE stirring shafts with metal core are solid PTFE stirring elements for modular multi-level mixing. The massive blades are made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), while the clamping fixtures are produced from a PEEK compound. Several blades can be mounted torsion-proof at freely chosen height and rotation direction on matching BOLA stirring shafts via the clamp fastening. A suitable open-ended spanner is included for assembly. These additional blades fit shafts of 10 mm diameter and offer blade dimensions of 60 mm, 25 mm and 6 mm (A–B–C) as per the manufacturer drawing, with wrench size 19. Net weight is 0,16 kg. Supplied as one piece, they support chemically resistant impeller configurations in laboratory and process stirring where PTFE contact surfaces and adjustable blade placement are required. The accessories form part of the BOLA stirrer range from manufacturer Bohlender and suit impeller, anchor and turbine setups on compatible PTFE shafts with metal reinforcement.

What is this article?
BOLA Impeller Blades, Ø 10 mm a Ø 60 mm for stainless steel shafts jacketed with is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
