Description

BOLA Mini 2-way stopcock UNF 1/4'' 28G with Ø 1,6 × 3,2 mm PTFE body provides a compact two-way shut-off solution for laboratory fluid handling. The valve is machined from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and incorporates a straight bore together with two connections: one internal UNF ¼" 28G thread and one external UNF ¼" 28G thread. An FEP stopcock plug completes the assembly, giving an overall height of 20 mm including the handle. Dimensioned for tubing with 1,6 mm inner diameter and 3,2 mm outer diameter (1/16 × 1/8''), the stopcock has a total length of 35 mm, allowing straightforward installation in tight instrument layouts. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer Bohlender, this BOLA mini valve combines chemical inertness with a low-profile form factor. Net weight is 0,009 kg. It is well suited to analytical, preparative and process applications that require reliable isolation or routing of aggressive or high-purity media. The UNF 1/4'' 28G interfaces match common flangeless laboratory fittings, while the PTFE construction minimises contamination risk and supports long service life under demanding chemical conditions.

Questions about BOLA Miniature 2-Way Stopcocks, UNF 1/4'' 28G, Ø 1,6 x 3,2 mm PTFE

What is this article?

BOLA Miniature 2-Way Stopcocks, UNF 1/4'' 28G, Ø 1,6 x 3,2 mm PTFE is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
