Description
BOLA Mini couplings in straight design are compact PTFE connectors for laboratory tubing systems. Made from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), these fittings combine chemical resistance with the higher mechanical strength associated with the straight PTFE and POM variants in this range. Each coupling provides two ports with internal UNF ¼" 28G threads so tubing can be secured using matching hollow screws. The geometry is matched to hose with an inner diameter of 0,8 mm and an outer diameter of 1,6 mm (1/32 × 1/16''), and the overall length is 17 mm at a net weight of 0,003 kg. Within the BOLA Mini programme from manufacturer Bohlender, straight pieces sit alongside T pieces with three ports and cross pieces with four ports for flexible layout of low-volume lines. Typical uses include analytical fluid paths, chromatography connections and general laboratory transfer where a compact, chemically inert joint is required. The connectors are supplied in a pack of 3 pieces and integrate directly into existing UNF 1/4'' 28G tubing assemblies without adding bulk.

Questions about BOLA Miniature Couplings, UNF 1/4'' 28G, Ø 0,8 x 1,6 mm PTFE, straight
What is this article?
BOLA Miniature Couplings, UNF 1/4'' 28G, Ø 0,8 x 1,6 mm PTFE, straight is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.
A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.
Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
