Description

BOLA half-moon stirring shafts provide a PTFE-coated stainless steel shaft paired with a tiltable half-moon stirring blade for laboratory mixing. The stirring blade, double groove and blade holder are manufactured completely from PTFE, ensuring that the process medium contacts only PTFE and therefore benefits from universal chemical resistance. This model has an overall length of 450 mm, a shaft diameter of 10 mm and a clamping diameter of 8,0 mm, and is intended for ground joints NS 29/32. Blade dimensions according to the reference figure are 90 mm (A), 24 mm (B) and 3 mm (C). The tiltable half-moon design supports convenient passage through narrow vessel openings before the blade is set for agitation. Offered as one piece from manufacturer Bohlender, the stirrer keeps all wetted surfaces in PTFE. Net weight is 0,22 kg. These flat-style stirring shafts suit chemically demanding laboratory environments where inert contact materials are required and reliable mechanical stirring through standard ground-joint setups is needed. The PTFE coating on the stainless steel shaft protects the immersed length while retaining shaft rigidity.

What is this article?

BOLA Moon-Shaped Stirrer Shafts, L 450 mm Ø 10 mm NS 29/32 PTFE-coated STAINLESS is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring & mixing accessories, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.

Stirring accessories are the bosses, the retort clamps and the spare knobs that hold an overhead stirrer over the vessel. The stand has to carry the motor's mass, not only the flask's.

Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
