Description
BOLA Power magnetic stirring bars, L 40 mm Ø 14 mm, are PTFE-encapsulated stirring bars with an extremely strong rare-earth magnet core made of samarium-cobalt. Compared with standard magnetic stirring bars, the transferable torque is about four times higher, improving drive coupling for larger vessels or more challenging media. The core design excludes demagnetisation, and the bars are sterilizable for repeated laboratory use. An extremely smooth PTFE surface reduces the risk of residue entrapment, and the coating offers universal chemical resistance for everyday synthesis, sample preparation and process work. Nominal dimensions are approximately 40 mm length and 14 mm diameter in round rod geometry, with a net weight of 0,03 kg. Offered by manufacturer Bohlender as part of the BOLA Power range, this size balances strong magnetic performance with the chemical inertness of PTFE. Ideal where robust stirring action and easy cleaning matter. Pack size is one piece for straightforward replacement and inventory control.

Questions about BOLA Power Magnetic Stirring Bars, L 40 mm Ø 14 mm PTFE. With a very strong magn
What is this article?
BOLA Power Magnetic Stirring Bars, L 40 mm Ø 14 mm PTFE. With a very strong magn is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Magnetic stirring bars, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A magnetic stirring bar is the magnet coated in PTFE that spins inside a vessel, driven by a stirrer underneath. Length and shape, plain, oval or cross, have to suit the flask. A bar left against a dry glass wall will grind it.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
