Description

BOLA distillation receiver is a PTFE laboratory adapter for connecting distillation paths and optional vacuum accessories. It provides a cone and socket NS 29/32 together with a socket NS 19/26, for example for a vacuum stopcock, plus a side-joint socket NS 29/32 set at a 15° side-joint angle. An integrated Combi nut in Safe-Lab design supports straightforward securing and release of the conical ground joint. Construction in polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) gives broad chemical resistance for distillate-handling duties. Net weight is 0,17 kg. This BOLA distillation receiver from manufacturer Bohlender is used in vacuum and atmospheric distillation assemblies that standardise on NS 29/32 and NS 19/26 joints. It is offered as a single piece for building or extending receiver and take-off sections in laboratory distillation trains without introducing glass at the joint interfaces.

This article is part of PVC, PTFE & other tubing, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about BOLA Receiver Adapters, NS 29/32 NS 19/26 PTFE, with SAFE LAB-system

What is this article?

BOLA Receiver Adapters, NS 29/32 NS 19/26 PTFE, with SAFE LAB-system is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in PVC, PTFE & other tubing, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

PVC is the flexible everyday tube for water and mild aqueous liquids. PTFE is the stiff, almost inert tube for solvents. Other polymers sit between them. The bore, the wall and the chemical resistance are the specification, and the tube is cut to length.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
