Description

BOLA replacement inner parts for GL 25 fittings are sized for hose outer diameters of 4,0 mm and restore dependable sealing in laboratory tubing assemblies. The set consists of a clamping ring together with a sealing wedge and sealing plate made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), with PVDF indicated in the product designation for the associated structural components. For screw connections intended for hose outer diameters smaller than 3 mm, an additional FKM O-ring is provided that remains without contact to the flow medium. Very good chemical resistance is achieved as the medium contacts only PTFE on the wetted path. These spare inner parts from manufacturer Bohlender are intended for upkeep of GL 25 laboratory fittings where chemically inert fluid-contact surfaces are essential. Supplied as 1 piece with a net weight of 0,011 kg, the components allow straightforward replacement of worn sealing elements. They suit chemical, analytical and process laboratory applications that use GL hose connectors, combining secure hose retention with the inert PTFE flow path and the stated 4,0 mm outer-diameter geometry for correct fit on matching GL 25 screw fittings.

Questions about BOLA Replacement Inner Parts, GL 25 aØ 4 mm PTFE, PVDF

What is this article?

BOLA Replacement Inner Parts, GL 25 aØ 4 mm PTFE, PVDF is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
