Description

BOLA replacement inner parts for GL 25 fittings accommodate tubing with an outer diameter of 8,0 mm and renew the clamping and sealing function of laboratory screw connections. The set comprises a clamping ring in ETFE, a sealing wedge and a sealing plate made of PTFE, plus an additional FKM O-ring for fittings specified for hose outer diameters smaller than 3 mm; that O-ring stays outside the flow path and does not contact the medium. Very good chemical resistance results because only PTFE touches the process medium. These spare parts from manufacturer Bohlender are suited to routine service of BOLA tubing assemblies in chemical and analytical laboratories. The GL 25 thread ensures compatibility with standard laboratory bottle and connector interfaces, while the 8,0 mm outer-diameter rating matches medium-bore flexible tubing used for transfer and sampling. Pack size is 2 pc(s) and net weight is 0,01 kg. PTFE wetted surfaces support secure, chemically resistant sealing after wear or contamination of the original inner elements, allowing existing GL 25 BOLA fittings to remain in operation without full connector replacement.

This article is part of Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about BOLA Replacement Inner Parts, GL 25 aØ 8 mm PTFE, ETFE

What is this article?

BOLA Replacement Inner Parts, GL 25 aØ 8 mm PTFE, ETFE is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
