Description

BOLA screw-in connectors GL EX, NPT 1/4'' – GL 18 with 2 × male thread and AF 15 convert NPT ports on BOLA reactor lids into GL threaded nozzles for laboratory tubing and accessory connection. Made from conductive PTFE-EX, the fittings support dissipative setups where electrostatic control is relevant. Each connector combines a male NPT 1/4'' screw-in thread with a male GL 18 threaded nozzle, allowing direct installation into matching NPT openings on BOLA EX reactor lids. A hexagonal grip surface in standard wrench size SW 15 mm enables controlled tightening with common laboratory tools. Earthing is realised via the grounding connection on the reactor lid rather than a separate path on the fitting itself. With a net weight of 0,0102 kg and supplied as a single piece, this compact adapter from manufacturer Bohlender is intended for modular BOLA reactor assemblies that require GL interfaces on existing NPT lid ports while maintaining the EX material concept of the system.

Questions about BOLA Screw In Fittings GL EX, NPT 1/4'' - GL 18 2 x Male Thread, SW 15

What is this article?

BOLA Screw In Fittings GL EX, NPT 1/4'' - GL 18 2 x Male Thread, SW 15 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
