Description

BOLA Gas Washing Bottle Vitrum, GLS 80, is a complete 500 ml laboratory gas scrubbing assembly for controlled introduction and fine distribution of process gases. The system comprises a PTFE base body with a GLS 80 overcap of polypropylene, two lateral GL 18 threaded side ports, a matching borosilicate glass 3.3 bottle, an FEP gas inlet tube and a gas distributor with very fine bore holes. Hard-walled tubing such as PTFE joins for low-resistance gas inlet and outlet via optional laboratory screw fittings on the GL 18 connectors; elastic tubing uses GL screw olives. The overcap turns independently of the base body, so the entire head assembly can be unscrewed from or refastened onto the bottle without disconnecting attached hoses. Overall height is 186 mm, nominal volume 0,5 l and net weight 0,3 kg. This Vitrum configuration from manufacturer Bohlender supports gas washing that needs chemical resistance, clean gas paths and convenient hose handling in analytical and preparative laboratories where bottles change often without disturbing tubing.

What is this article?

BOLA Scrubber Bottles Vitrum, GLS 80, 500 ml with two lateral GL 18 threaded nec is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Wash bottles, inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

A wash bottle is a squeeze bottle with a bent delivery tube, used to rinse a precipitate or a electrode with a small directed stream. The liquid inside is usually water or a solvent, and the bottle has to tolerate that liquid.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
