Description

BOLA Temperature Probe (PT 100) is a laboratory temperature sensor built around a PT 100 measuring element housed in a PTFE-sheathed stainless steel tube (1.4571). The probe body has a diameter of 8 mm, a tip diameter of 6 mm and a drop-protection ring of 12 mm for secure handling during insertion and removal. Electrical connection is provided by a 1,5 m PFA-coated cable in 4-wire technique, supporting accurate resistance measurement with reduced lead-wire influence. Typical response times are T50 of 7–12 s and T90 of 14–16 s, enabling timely tracking of temperature changes in process and research setups. Usable probe length is 300 mm with an overall length of 340 mm, suited to vessels and apparatus where chemical resistance of the PTFE jacket is required. This configuration from manufacturer Bohlender combines a stainless steel core with a continuous polymer sheath for use in aggressive media while retaining reliable thermal contact at the tip. Supplied as a single piece with a net weight of 0,189 kg, the probe is intended for laboratory temperature monitoring applications that call for a robust, chemically protected PT 100 sensor.

Questions about BOLA Temperature Probes (PT 100), Ø 8 mm, L 340 mm PTFE/Stainless Steel, usable

What is this article?

BOLA Temperature Probes (PT 100), Ø 8 mm, L 340 mm PTFE/Stainless Steel, usable is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Temperature probes & sensors, inside Temperature measurement, in Lab instruments.

A temperature probe is the sensor, Pt100, thermocouple or thermistor, that a meter or a logger reads. The probe, not the display, is what is calibrated. The sheath material and the response time matter in a liquid versus a block.

A thermometer reports a temperature. A liquid-in-glass thermometer is a calibrated column. A digital thermometer is a sensor and a display, and the sensor, not the display, is what is calibrated. An infrared thermometer reads a surface and depends on emissivity. A data logger stores the reading over time. Without a stated uncertainty and a calibration point, the number is only an indication. The scale is maintained by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET. Accreditation is BELAC.
