Description
BOLA anchor stirrer shaft RS is a long-format laboratory stirrer shaft for mixing applications that need greater immersion depth. The stainless-steel shaft is fully coated with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and carries an anchor stirring blade made completely of PTFE, ensuring that only PTFE contacts the medium and providing universal chemical resistance. Overall length is 1200 mm, shaft diameter 16 mm and clamping diameter 10 mm. Anchor blade dimensions A–B–C–D are 150 mm, 120 mm, 90 mm and 90 mm as specified for this geometry. Net weight is 1,58 kg. Offered by manufacturer Bohlender in the RS series, this anchor shaft supports surface and near-wall agitation in taller vessels used in research, process development and production laboratories. Supplied as 1 piece, it works with compatible laboratory stirrer motors and chucks whenever inert PTFE wetted surfaces and a defined anchor profile are required for controlled mixing of liquids and viscous media.
This article is part of Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about BOLA U-Shaped Stirrer Shafts RCD, L 1200 mm Ø 16 mm 150x120x90 Reduced Chucking
What is this article?
BOLA U-Shaped Stirrer Shafts RCD, L 1200 mm Ø 16 mm 150x120x90 Reduced Chucking is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Stirring shafts, propellers & impellers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
A shaft, a propeller or an impeller is the wetted end of an overhead stirrer. The diameter and the pitch decide whether the liquid turns over. The material, stainless steel or PTFE, decides what the liquid may be. The chuck size has to match the stirrer.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
