Description
b.safe Funnel 180, S 50 is a polyethylene laboratory funnel with a 180 mm diameter for the disposal of liquid waste into collection containers. A freely rotatable cap fixed to the filling neck allows the funnel to be mounted securely on vessels with an S 50 thread. The removable sieve holds back magnetic stir bars and other solids and can be taken out for cleaning. A splash guard reduces overflow and splashing during filling, while the ball valve helps retain harmful vapours that might otherwise escape from the container. This PE configuration is supplied according to the manufacturer’s specification with two plug-on filling-tube segments and without a grounding cable. Net weight is 0,452 kg. Intended for everyday laboratory waste handling, the funnel offers a practical combination of sieve, splash protection and vapour control. Available from manufacturer Bohlender, it supports organised, safer transfer of liquid residues into S 50 collection systems in research and routine lab environments.
This article is part of Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, in Waste disposal.

Questions about b.safe Funnels 180, S 50 - Ø 180 mm made of PE, with sieve, splash guard, ball v
What is this article?
b.safe Funnels 180, S 50 - Ø 180 mm made of PE, with sieve, splash guard, ball v is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bohlender for laboratory use. It sits in Solvent waste caps, safety funnels & canisters, inside Waste disposal, in Lab safety equipment.
A solvent waste cap and a safety funnel close a waste can so vapour does not fill the room, while still letting waste be poured in. The thread has to match the can. A filter and a level indicator are common features. An open beaker of waste solvent is not this article.
Laboratory waste is sorted before it is carried away. A solvent waste can has a cap and often a funnel that limits vapour. A sharps container is rigid and closable. An autoclave bag is for material that will be sterilised before it is ordinary waste. The container has to survive the chemical that goes into it. A bag that dissolves is not a container. Classification of the chemicals is on ECHA. Transport of dangerous goods is the UNECE framework. Workplace practice is EU-OSHA.
