b.safe Waste Cap B53 is a laboratory screw cap for B53 threads intended for safe collection of solvent and process waste from analytical systems. The polypropylene (PP) cap is combined with a freely rotatable PTFE insert that keeps capillary and tubing lines free to turn without stressing the fittings. Four UNF 1/4" ports are equipped with PFA fittings for capillaries of 1,6 mm, 2,2 mm and 3,2 mm outer diameter; three milky-white PFA blind fittings close any connections that are not required. A stepped hose olive on an NPT 1/8" thread accepts tubing with an inner diameter of 5,5–8,0 mm, and a GL14 thread is provided for a b.safe exhaust filter (filter not included). Scope of delivery from manufacturer Bohlender includes four green fittings (Ø 1,6 mm), four violet fittings (Ø 2,2 mm), four yellow fittings (Ø 3,2 mm), three blind fittings and one stepped olive for 5,5–8,0 mm tubing ID. The compact multi-port layout suits HPLC and related laboratory waste streams. Supplied as 1 piece for canister and container systems with B53 neck threads.
