Description

Centrifuge 5427 R + Rotor 30 is a refrigerated EU-IVD laboratory centrifuge with rotary knobs, supplied with Rotor FA-45-30-11 for 230 V/50–60 Hz (EU) use. It is cooled with natural refrigerant R290 and offers rotor capacity of 30 × 1,5/2,0 mL and 12 × 5,0 mL via the Eppendorf QuickLock® rotor for rapid, ergonomic lid closing. Maximum speed is 25.001 × g (16,220 rpm). Soft-touch lid handling, automatic rotor and imbalance detection, and an integrated condensate drain support safe routine operation. Temperature range is −11 °C to 40 °C; FastTemp pre-cools from about 23 °C to 4 °C in 11 minutes. ECO shut-off after 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours of inactivity helps lower energy use and extend compressor life. ACT-certified with My Green Lab sustainability validation, this model from manufacturer Eppendorf is a non-automatic centrifuge for separating liquid mixtures from the human body and is intended as an accessory with an in-vitro diagnostic to enable its intended use. It meets EU IVDR 2017/746 and is for indoor use by trained personnel. Pack size: one piece.

What is this article?

Centr. 5427R+Rotor30 230V/50-60Hz is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Eppendorf for laboratory use. It sits in Rotors, inside Centrifuges, in Lab instruments.

A centrifuge rotor is the rotating part that holds the tubes, and it is rated for a maximum speed and a maximum load. A swing-out rotor and a fixed-angle rotor pellet differently. A rotor from another centrifuge does not belong on this drive, even when it seems to fit.

A centrifuge separates by density. The rotor spins the sample and the force is reported as a multiple of gravity, not as a raw speed, because the same revolutions per minute are a different force at a different radius. A microcentrifuge takes small tubes. A benchtop or floor model takes larger rotors. The tube, the adapter and the rotor have to be the combination the manufacturer rated. An unbalanced load is how centrifuges fail. Measurement of the related quantities sits with the BIPM.
