Description

CHROMABOND SiOH columns with 1 mL volume and 100 mg sorbent fill are solid-phase extraction cartridges built around an unmodified silica (SiOH) bed. The SiOH phase supports polar interactions and normal-phase type clean-up in chromatographic sample preparation. Each column uses a polypropylene (PP) housing fitted with polyethylene (PE) filter elements that retain the sorbent during conditioning, sample loading and elution. The compact 1 mL format with 100 mg fill is practical for small sample volumes, method development and routine SPE on vacuum manifolds or positive-pressure systems. Supplied in a pack of 100 pieces from manufacturer Macherey-Nagel, the columns offer a consistent cartridge geometry for parallel processing of multiple samples. Defined volume and fill mass help maintain reproducible bed packing across the pack. These CHROMABOND SiOH units integrate into standard laboratory SPE workflows wherever a moderate silica load in a small polypropylene cartridge is required for polar analyte retention or matrix clean-up prior to instrumental analysis.

Questions about Chromab. columns SiOH, 1 mL, 100 mg

What is this article?

Chromab. columns SiOH, 1 mL, 100 mg is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Macherey-Nagel for laboratory use. It sits in SPE cartridges & columns, inside SPE & sample preparation, in Chromatography equipment.

An SPE cartridge holds a bed of sorbent. Bed mass, sorbent chemistry and volume are the specification. A 100 mg C18 cartridge and a 1 g C18 cartridge take different sample loads and different elution volumes. The method names all three.

Solid-phase extraction holds a compound on a sorbent while the rest of the sample is washed away, then releases it in a small volume. The sorbent, the bed mass and the solvents are the method. Silica, ion exchangers and polymer phases do different jobs. A flash column is the same idea scaled toward purification rather than trace cleanup. The molecules are on PubChem, named by IUPAC.
