Description

CPC coupling in polypropylene (PP), female part with valve and 3/8'' NPT thread, is a quick-disconnect fitting for fast, secure connections of liquids, gases, compressed air and vacuum. Compact design, high flow capacity and reliable one-hand operation characterise this coupling style. When the halves are pushed together they lock automatically and open the internal valves; on one-hand decoupling the valves close automatically so leakage is prevented. A secure O-ring seal keeps the joint tight under laboratory and process conditions. Within the same flow size, female couplings and male nipples can be freely combined. Spring and locking elements are stainless steel V4A. For the polypropylene body the standard seal is EPDM, with operating pressure up to 8 bar at 20 °C and an operating temperature range from 0 °C to +110 °C. These quick couplings from manufacturer Bürkle are ideal for connecting and disconnecting hoses, instruments, apparatus and containers wherever a space-saving, dependable fluid interface is required. Supplied as one piece for straightforward integration into existing tubing and equipment setups.

Questions about CPC coupling, PP, female, w/ valve, 3/8'' NPT

What is this article?

CPC coupling, PP, female, w/ valve, 3/8'' NPT is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
