Description

CPC coupling in polypropylene (PP), male part with integrated valve and elbow geometry for Ø 6,5 mm, provides a fast and secure connection for liquids, gases, compressed air and vacuum. Proven reliability, compact footprint, high flow capacity and convenient one-hand operation characterise these quick-release couplings. A secure O-ring seal keeps the joint reliably tight. Within the same flow size, all female couplings and male nipples can be mated interchangeably. Spring and locking elements are made of stainless steel V4A. For the polypropylene body the standard seal is EPDM; operating pressure at 20 °C reaches up to 8 bar, and the operating temperature range spans 0 °C to +110 °C. These couplings from manufacturer Bürkle are well suited to connecting and disconnecting hoses, instruments, apparatus and containers in laboratory and process environments. On valve versions, mating automatically locks the parts and opens the valves; on decoupling the valves close automatically so leakage is excluded. Supplied as 1 piece for flexible system build-up.

This article is part of Stopcocks & valves, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about CPC coupling, PP, male, w/ valve, angled, Ø 6,5 mm

What is this article?

CPC coupling, PP, male, w/ valve, angled, Ø 6,5 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Bürkle for laboratory use. It sits in Hose connectors, adapters & fittings, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

A hose connector or adapter joins two lines, or steps one bore down to another. The barb diameter has to match the tube, and the thread has to match the stopcock or the bottle. Most leaks are a mismatch here, not a hole in the tube.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
