Description

DB 3.1 single block for vessel combination is a compact heating-block insert configured for mixed laboratory vessels of 6 mm, 12/13 mm and 25 mm diameter. It provides six bores of Ø 8,3 mm, five bores of Ø 13,9 mm and three bores of Ø 26,2 mm, each with a bore depth of 48,4 mm, so that different vessel formats can be tempered side by side in one block. External dimensions are 95 × 76 × 51 mm (W × D × H), giving a stable footprint that fits standard dry-block thermostats. Net weight is 0,680 kg. The combination layout from manufacturer IKA is intended for thermostating-device accessories where several tube or vial sizes must be processed without exchanging the block. Uniform bore depth supports consistent thermal contact across all positions. Supplied as one piece, the DB 3.1 is suited to routine sample preparation, incubation and temperature-controlled workflows that require simultaneous handling of small- and medium-diameter vessels in a single, space-efficient module.

This article is part of Heating & cooling (other), in Heating, drying & cooling.

What is this article?

DB 3.1, Single block, test tube comb., 6/12/13/25 mm is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in Heating & cooling (other), inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

This shelf holds heating and cooling equipment that is not a furnace, a mantle, a bath, an oven or an incubator. The question is still the range, the stability and what the heat actually touches.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
