Description
DURAN® burette, brown, class AS, with glass key is a precision volumetric instrument intended for accurate titrimetric applications. Fabricated from chemically highly resistant borosilicate glass 3.3, the 100 ml burette provides precise scaling so that the previously unknown liquid volume needed for titration can be read very accurately once the reaction is finished. Calibration is carried out for delivery (“Ex”) at +20 °C reference temperature; adhesion of liquid to the glass wall is allowed for during adjustment, enabling quantities to be withdrawn exactly according to the scale. Volume tolerances meet the error limits of ISO and DIN. The brown glass affords UV protection for work with light-sensitive solutions. Main-point ring graduation, a straight NS stopcock fitted with a glass key and a waiting time of 30 seconds complete the functional design. Burettes of accuracy class AS that carry a batch number are delivered with a batch certificate documenting the mean value obtained from the batch measurement, the standard deviation and the date of issue; certificates can also be accessed online. Suited to titration of light-sensitive liquids, volumetry and volumetric analysis, this DURAN® burette from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences offers reliable performance. Pack contains 2 pieces.

Questions about DURAN® Burette, amber, Class AS, with glass key, CoC, batch certificate
What is this article?
DURAN® Burette, amber, Class AS, with glass key, CoC, batch certificate is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Burettes, inside Volumetric glassware, in Labware.
A burette delivers a measured volume through a stopcock, which is how a titration is read. Class A and class AS state the tolerance. The stopcock, glass or PTFE, and the volume of the burette are the choices. A dirty bore changes the delivered volume.
Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
