Description
DURAN® burette Class AS with Schellbach stripe and glass key is a precision volumetric instrument for accurate titrimetric work. Made from chemically highly resistant borosilicate glass 3.3, this 25 ml burette carries precise scaling that allows the previously unknown liquid volume needed for titration to be read very accurately once the reaction is complete. Adjustment is performed for delivery (“Ex”) at a reference temperature of +20 °C, so dispensed quantities correspond exactly to the scale because liquid adhesion to the glass is taken into account during calibration. Volume tolerances meet the error limits of ISO and DIN for accuracy class AS. Main-point ring graduation and the Schellbach stripe support clear meniscus reading, while the straight NS stopcock with glass key enables controlled delivery; a waiting time of 30 seconds applies. Each unit is supplied with a Certificate of Conformity and a batch certificate that records the mean value, standard deviation and issue date of the production lot (also available online). This burette from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is intended for titration, volumetry and volumetric analysis in the laboratory.

Questions about DURAN® Burette, Class AS, Schellbach stripe and PTFE key, CoC, batch certificate
What is this article?
DURAN® Burette, Class AS, Schellbach stripe and PTFE key, CoC, batch certificate is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Burettes, inside Volumetric glassware, in Labware.
A burette delivers a measured volume through a stopcock, which is how a titration is read. Class A and class AS state the tolerance. The stopcock, glass or PTFE, and the volume of the burette are the choices. A dirty bore changes the delivered volume.
Volumetric glassware is glass that has been calibrated to contain or to deliver one stated volume at a reference temperature. That calibration is the whole point. Class A and class AS have a tighter tolerance than class B. A volumetric flask contains. A pipette and a burette deliver. A measuring cylinder is the coarser reading, used when the volume is not the result. The classes sit under ISO laboratory glassware. The chain back to the unit of volume is the work of the BIPM and of NIST.
Which category should I open next?
