DURAN® insert for GL 18 screw cap with an inner diameter of 12,0 mm (~1/2 inch) is a key element of the flexible modular GLS 80® connection cap system intended for transferring liquids or gases. Five different hose diameters (3,2 mm; 6,0 mm; 8,0 mm; 10,0 mm and 12,0 mm) can be attached. Sterile pressure equalisation is enabled by a syringe membrane filter, while unused ports are closed with a GL 18 PBT blanking cap. Made from PP, PTFE and EPDM, the modular system supports free combination of components to suit specific laboratory requirements. Compatibility with all GLS 80 threads ensures wide applicability. Supplied as a single piece from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, the insert is suited to liquid transfer, feed of liquids into bioreactors, reagent supply to instruments and photobioreactor operation.
