Description
DURAN® Intensive condenser NS 24/29, 400 mm combines Liebig- and Dimroth-type cooling in a single glass apparatus with an especially large cooling surface. An internal cooling spiral plus an outer jacket allow effective condensation of vapours from low-boiling reaction mixtures, supporting both distillation and reflux applications. Fabricated from borosilicate glass 3.3, the condenser carries two standard ground joints (NS) that ensure a dense seal, together with two detachable plastic olives for coolant supply and return. Offered as a single unit from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, it functions as a reflux condenser to condense and guide solvent vapours back into the reaction mixture, and as a general distillation cooler. All units of this series are special sizes and are not produced according to DIN. The extended 400 mm format and dual-surface cooling geometry make the design particularly appropriate for laboratory work with low-boiling media where high heat-exchange capacity is required.
