DURAN® Original GL 45 laboratory bottle, clear, with high-temperature screw cap is a multifunctional laboratory bottle moulded from high-purity clear USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3. Known for excellent thermal behaviour and high chemical resistance, the 1 l bottle combines high-performance materials with a robust ISO 4796-1 design for extended service life. It offers an easy-to-read graduated volume scale and a permanent white enamel marking field. A permanently printed batch identifier (Retrace Code) on each bottle ensures complete manufacturing traceability. Supplied complete with a red polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) GL 45 screw cap featuring a PTFE-coated silicone liner and a red ETFE pouring ring, the closure system provides higher thermal and chemical resistance than comparable polypropylene components. All parts are fully autoclavable at 121 or 134 °C and suitable for dry-heat sterilisation up to 180 °C; they also comply with current international food-contact regulations such as (EU) No. 10/2011. The standardised GL thread enables a particularly tight seal and clean, drip-free pouring. Applications include autoclaving and preparation of media and reagents, sampling, culture vessel use, storage, transport and shipping.
