Description

DURAN® Original pouring ring for laboratory bottles is a polypropylene (PP) accessory in green for GL 45 laboratory bottles. An integrated lip seal and pouring geometry enable drip-free dispensing and support clean, safe handling of liquids. Distinct colour coding simplifies separation of media, virtually ruling out swapped screw caps and carry-over of substances between containers. Compatible with all GL 45 threads, the ring fits standard laboratory bottle systems with broad versatility. From manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, the Original series is also offered in blue, yellow and grey with matching pouring rings for coordinated visual identification. Typical applications include autoclaving of media and reagents, short-term storage of samples and media, and colour-based organisation in laboratory workflows. The green finish pairs with corresponding coloured closures for consistent bottle identification. Pack size is 1 piece; net weight is 0,001 kg.

This article is part of Laboratory glass bottles, in Bottles & containers.

Questions about DURAN® Original Laboratory Bottle Pouring Ring, PP

What is this article?

DURAN® Original Laboratory Bottle Pouring Ring, PP is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Bottle accessories (pouring rings, dispensers, caps), inside Bottles & containers, in Labware.

Bottle accessories are the pieces on the neck: a pouring ring, a dispenser seat, a cap liner, a tamper ring. They decide how the bottle delivers and whether the closure still matches after the original cap is gone.

A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
