Description
DURAN® pressure plus+ GL 45 laboratory bottle in amber borosilicate glass 3.3 is a pressure- and vacuum-capable vessel for demanding laboratory work. With a nominal volume of 0,25 l, the bottle offers guaranteed resistance from −1 bar to +1,5 bar through modified geometry based on ISO 4796-1, while remaining instrument-compatible to ISO 4796-1:2016 and certified to DIN EN 1595. Formed from high-purity USP/EP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3, it combines excellent thermal behaviour with high chemical resistance. The amber colour is applied only externally, so inner surfaces retain standard DURAN® glass properties and spectral transmission stays below 10 % between 290 and 450 nm; the bottle is USP, USP (spectral transmission) and EP (3.2.1) compliant. Supplied without screw cap and pouring ring from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, it carries a permanent blue enamel graduated scale and marking field plus a Retrace Code for full batch traceability. Typical applications include storage of light-sensitive materials, vacuum filtration, sampling under pressure, and holding volatile solvents or gas-forming substances. Thread GL 45, outer diameter 70 mm, height 138 mm.

A laboratory glass bottle is borosilicate or soda-lime, with a stated capacity and a neck for a screw cap or a ground stopper. Glass is the choice when the liquid attacks a plastic, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved.
A laboratory bottle is a closed container with a stated volume and a neck that takes a cap, a stopper or a dispenser. Borosilicate glass is the choice when the liquid is a solvent, or when the bottle will be heated or autoclaved. Polyethylene and polypropylene are the choice when the bottle must not shatter, or when hydrofluoric acid would attack glass. A narrow mouth pours. A wide mouth is for powders and for reaching the bottom. Laboratory ware of this kind is indexed under ISO laboratory glassware. Traceable volume sits with the BIPM and NIST Physical Measurement.
