Description

DURAN® reagent bottle, narrow neck, amber, is a classic stoppered laboratory bottle formed from DURAN® borosilicate 3.3 Type 1 glass for storage of liquid and solid chemicals as well as reagents. With a nominal volume of 20 l and ground joint NS 60/46, the narrow conical neck is suited to liquids while the shoulder angle allows contents to be poured cleanly. The matching glass stopper provides a tight seal that protects the contents from evaporation, oxidation and contamination. A labelling field and retrace code for manufacturing traceability are printed in permanent white enamel. External amber colouration shields light-sensitive materials from photodegradation; UV protection extends to approximately 500 nm and meets international USP/EP standards for the lifetime of the bottle. The purely external brown coating leaves the inner DURAN® glass properties unchanged and offers long-lasting chemical resistance. Consisting solely of glass components, the bottle from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences is suitable for aggressive materials. An easily readable graduated scale supports content measurement. Typical uses include storage of air-sensitive reagents, hygroscopic liquids, granules and powders, and light-sensitive pharmaceuticals and chemicals.
