The complete unit consists of a precision-ground stopcock barrel fitted with a threaded key produced from SBW-J glass. A three-part retaining system locks the key safely inside the barrel, while the 1:10 taper delivers the secure seal characteristic of ground joints. Made from borosilicate glass 3.3, the component provides the chemical and thermal resistance demanded by scientific glassware applications.
