Description
DURAN® three-way stopcock with SBW key, complete, provides versatile multi-path control for laboratory glass apparatus. This unit combines a standard ground joint NS 18,8 with a T-bore of 2,5 mm and a threaded SBW-J glass key retained by a three-part stopcock security system. T-bore stopcocks are the most widely used three-way configuration; the valve permits connection of any two side arms, simultaneous connection of all three arms, or full closure of every port. Constructed from borosilicate glass 3.3, the stopcock is supplied ready for further processing and installation into glass instruments and devices. The SBW-J glass key offers a durable glass-to-glass sealing interface suited to standard laboratory workflows. Offered as a complete assembly from manufacturer Duran/DWK Life Sciences, it supports reliable integration where flexible routing of liquids or gases is required. Net weight is 0,097 kg. The design emphasises clear operational positions and robust construction for everyday laboratory glass systems.

Questions about DURAN® Three-Way Stopcock, with SBW-J key, T-bore
What is this article?
DURAN® Three-Way Stopcock, with SBW-J key, T-bore is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes DWK Life Sciences for laboratory use. It sits in Stopcocks & valves, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.
A stopcock opens and closes a line, or directs it between ports. Glass stopcocks have a ground plug that needs grease or a PTFE key. The bore decides the flow. A two-way and a three-way key are different parts.
Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
