DURAN® Engler flask with beaded rim and lateral outlet is a 100 ml distillation flask for laboratory use. Bulbous vessels called flasks are versatile tools alongside beakers and are employed for distillations or for heating liquids. An Engler flask carries a fixed side arm attached to the neck; vapour travels through this arm into a condenser where it condenses to distillate. Thermometers can be introduced via the neck, and an integrated ground joint ensures a tight seal of the apparatus. The beaded rim permits precise pouring, while the white print is burnt-in and therefore permanently durable. Made from borosilicate glass 3.3 by Duran/DWK Life Sciences, the flask is suited to distillations in the petrochemical sector as well as general heating work. Nominal volume is 0,1 l.
