Description

The Lithium electrode DX207 is an ion-selective electrode (ISE) with polymer membrane for lithium ion determination in laboratory applications. This modular half-cell comprises a shaft and a replaceable membrane module, so the sensor can be adapted to other ions by fitting the corresponding membrane kit. Every ion-selective electrode and membrane module is wet-chemically tested to meet strict working protocols covering several direct measurements and a typical titration application. Each unit is assigned a serial number and supplied with a quality certificate. Shaft material is POM/PVC; the electrode operates from 0 to 50 °C over a measuring range of 1,0 to 1,0E-05 mol/L and an optimal pH range of 2 to 12. Offered as a single piece with a net weight of 0,11 kg, the DX207 lithium half-cell from manufacturer Mettler-Toledo OnLine supports ion-specific analysis. The shaft remains identical across half-cells while the membrane module defines selectivity, enabling straightforward conversion to other ISE configurations when required.

Questions about DX207-Li ISE half-cell electrode

What is this article?

DX207-Li ISE half-cell electrode is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Mettler-Toledo OnLine for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
