Description
Exhaust air filter M, V3.0 with splash protection and change indicator is an activated-carbon filter developed for Safety Waste Caps used in HPLC laboratories. Three integrated activated-carbon types deliver over 90 % CTC adsorption, supporting high air purity and positioning the medium among the strongest activated-carbon filters available for HPLC work. The three-layer filter media cover a broad performance range against acids and alkalis and are optimised for binding HPLC buffer solutions as well as absorbing organic solvent vapours. Natural pore structure of the carbon helps prevent sticking or clogging during operation. The filter stops harmful vapours from escaping while enabling safe pressure equalisation inside the waste container. A precise time indicator shows the next replacement point; the M size offers a 6-month service life under typical LC solvent conditions. Supplied as one piece from manufacturer SCAT, the filter can also help reduce laboratory air-exchange rates when applied correctly. Regular exchange within the stated service interval maintains performance with common organic solvents and solvent mixtures.

Questions about Exhaust filter M, V3.0, Indicator, PU=1pc
What is this article?
Exhaust filter M, V3.0, Indicator, PU=1pc is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes SCAT for laboratory use. It sits in Fume cupboards & extraction, inside Safety cabinets & hazardous storage, in Lab safety equipment.
A fume cupboard draws air away from the operator and contains a splash. Face velocity and the sash height at which that velocity was measured are the specification. A recirculating filtered cupboard and a ducted cupboard are different machines. Extraction arms are the smaller, local version.
A safety cabinet keeps a dangerous liquid in a box that is meant to resist fire or to contain a spill for a stated time. The cabinet is chosen by what is stored: flammables, corrosives, or both, in the volume that will actually be in the room. A spill tray is the smaller version of the same idea. A fume cupboard is different: it is airflow that carries vapour away from the face. The rule for equipment worn or used to protect people is the PPE Regulation. Workplace practice is discussed by EU-OSHA on dangerous substances. Chemical classes are on ECHA CLP.
