Description

Gooch filter 30 ml porosity 1 NSK 29/32 is a laboratory filtration crucible fabricated from borosilicate glass 3.3. It incorporates a VitraPOR® filter plate of 20 mm diameter with porosity grade 1 and a standard ground joint NSK 29/32. The overall height is 90 mm, offering a compact format suitable for gravimetric analysis, precipitate collection and solid–liquid separations. This Gooch-style filter from manufacturer ROBU - Stereon provides reliable performance under gravity or vacuum filtration conditions. Porosity 1 is intended for retention of finer particles while maintaining practical filtrate flow rates. The borosilicate 3.3 construction supplies excellent thermal shock resistance and chemical durability against common laboratory reagents and solvents. Supplied as 2 pc(s), the filters integrate directly into standard glassware assemblies, heating blocks and desiccators used in quantitative inorganic and organic analysis. Precise dimensional control ensures consistent seating and reproducible results across routine analytical workflows.

This article is part of Büchner & filter funnels, in Funnels.

A Büchner funnel is a perforated porcelain or plastic plate used with a rubber cone and vacuum to pull liquid through a filter paper. A filter funnel is the glass cone that holds a folded paper under gravity. The plate diameter decides the paper size.

A funnel guides a liquid or a powder into a narrower mouth. A filter funnel holds a paper. A Büchner funnel is the flat perforated plate used with vacuum. A separating funnel has a stopcock so two liquid layers can be run off one at a time. A dropping funnel adds a reagent slowly into a reaction. The bore and the stopcock are the parts that matter. This glassware is listed under ISO laboratory glassware.
