Description
Portable pH/°C meter HI99161 is a waterproof handheld instrument for HACCP-oriented pH and temperature monitoring in food and dairy processes. It is delivered with the FC2023 electrode (PVDF body, conical tip, internal temperature sensor, Quick-DIN, 1 m cable), which is easy to clean and well suited to semi-solid products such as cheese. The meter covers pH −2,0 to 16,0 (or −2,00 to 16,00) with 0,1 or 0,01 resolution and ±0,02 or ±0,1 accuracy, plus automatic one- or two-point calibration on standard buffers. Automatic temperature compensation supports readings from −5,0 to 105,0 °C; mV measurement spans ±825 mV. Quick-DIN connectivity keeps the system water- and dust-tight, while the IP67 housing, large multilevel LCD, electrode-condition indicator and two-button operation aid reliable use on the production floor. Power is supplied by three 1,5 V AAA batteries for about 1400 hours of continuous use, with optional auto-off after 8 or 60 minutes. Dimensions are 154 mm × 63 mm × 30 mm at 196 g. The kit from manufacturer Hanna Instruments includes calibration solutions, cleaning solution, batteries, manual, quality certificate and a stable carrying case.

Questions about Food and Dairy pH Portable Meter (HACCP)
What is this article?
Food and Dairy pH Portable Meter (HACCP) is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Hanna Instruments for laboratory use. It sits in pH electrodes & sensors, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.
A pH electrode is a glass membrane and a reference. It is a consumable: the glass ages, the junction clogs, and the reading drifts. A refillable electrode and a gel electrode differ in how they are maintained. The connector has to match the meter. The electrode, not the meter, is usually what is wrong.
A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
Which category should I open next?
