Description

HBR 4 control S002 is a cylindrical laboratory heating bath with a useful volume of approximately 4 l and a heating power of 1000 W, supplied with a UK plug. Heating elements are integrated into the bath base, and the unit accepts either low-viscosity oil (50 mPas) or water as the heat-transfer medium. An integrated magnetic stirrer drive circulates the tempering fluid to improve heat distribution throughout the bath. The double-jacket design protects the operator from burns, while a continuously adjustable safety temperature limiter conforming to DIN 12877 provides additional process safety. A clear digital display shows set-point, actual and safety temperatures as well as stirrer speed. The bath can be operated with an external temperature sensor for direct medium control and includes an RS 232 interface for data communication. Two carrying handles facilitate safe handling in the laboratory. This heating bath from manufacturer IKA is intended for controlled tempering applications that require reliable heat distribution and straightforward digital monitoring.

A water bath surrounds a vessel with warm water. An oil bath reaches higher than water's boiling point. The tank volume and the maximum temperature are the specification. A cover and a level matter, because a dry bath element overheats.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
