Description
Heating cable PILZ® WBG glass silk insulated delivers 500 W at a specific loading of 250 W/m and supports a maximum operating temperature of 400 °C. The 2,0 m cable is built with two parallel heating conductors, glass-silk insulation, a nickel protective braid and a flexible glass-silk outer braid. Cross-section measures 35 × 5,0 mm with a minimum bend radius greater than 15 mm, giving high flexibility for tight routing on pipes, vessels and laboratory apparatus. Rated voltage is 230 VAC; a pre-assembled 0,4 m connection lead is included. The design is not moisture-protected. High constant power density and elevated temperature capability make the cable suitable for rapid heat-up in laboratories, pilot plants and industrial installations where concentrated heating is required. Operation together with a temperature controller is always recommended; the cable must not be overlapped or laid in direct contact with itself, and good thermal contact with the workpiece is essential. This PILZ® WBG unit from manufacturer Winkler offers straightforward mounting and cost-effective performance for demanding heating tasks.

Questions about Heating tape PILZ® WBG glass silk insulated 500W, length 2,0m, Tmax.
What is this article?
Heating tape PILZ® WBG glass silk insulated 500W, length 2,0m, Tmax. is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Winkler for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
