Heating tape PILZ® WBS silicone-insulated is a flexible heating band for laboratory, pilot-plant and industrial use where rapid heat-up or elevated temperatures are required. It delivers a rated power of 1340 W at about 100 W/m and supports a maximum operating temperature of 200 °C on 230 V AC. Four heating conductors are embedded in silicone insulation and finished with an outer braid of tinned copper wires that provides protective-earth continuity and moisture protection. The tape is 13,5 m long, measures 13,0 × 5,0 mm in cross-section and remains extremely flexible with a minimum bending radius greater than 9 mm, enabling straightforward mounting on pipes, vessels and complex geometries. A factory-fitted 1,5 m connection lead makes the unit ready to connect. Operation together with a temperature controller is always recommended; the high specific power requires good thermal contact with the workpiece, and heating sections must not be laid overlapping or in direct mutual contact. Surface temperature of the heater exceeds that of the heated object.
