Heating tape PILZ® WBS (100 W/m) is a silicone-insulated flexible heating band for laboratory, pilot-plant and industrial duties where high power concentration and short heat-up times are essential. It provides 200 W at 100 W/m, with a maximum temperature of 200 °C and a heating length of 1,8 m. Four heating conductors are embedded in silicone insulation and covered by an outer braid of tinned copper wires serving as protective earth; the design is moisture-protected. The cross-section measures 13,0 × 5,0 mm and the minimum bending radius is greater than 9 mm, enabling tight routing around tubing and vessels. Ready-to-connect with a 1,5 m supply cable for 230 VAC, the unit is offered by manufacturer Winkler. Continuous operation with a temperature controller is strongly recommended; overlapping or direct self-contact of the tape is not permitted and good thermal contact with the heated object is required. High specific power, flexibility and economical installation suit controlled heating of containers and process lines.
