Description
Hei-TORQUE Expert 100 is a laboratory overhead stirrer with a wide speed range of 10–2,000 min⁻¹ and a maximum torque of 100 Ncm. It handles viscosities up to 60.000 mPas or volumes up to 50 litres (H2O) with consistent mixing results. Latest motor technology keeps noise generation low during continuous operation. The 2,4-inch display simplifies setting of application parameters and process monitoring, including a torque trend indication. A safety-oriented start/stop touch function reduces the risk of unintentional start-up. Equipped with a Quick Chuck (with safety ring) of 10,5 mm diameter, the stirrer can be combined with a broad selection of stirring tools and is well suited for use in fume hoods or as a drive for reactor assemblies. Power consumption is 90 W. This model from manufacturer Heidolph is supplied with an EU cable and supports precise, quiet overhead stirring for demanding laboratory applications requiring higher torque and larger batch volumes.
This article is part of Overhead stirrers, in Stirring, shaking & mixing.

Questions about Hei-TORQUE Expert 100 -- EU-plug
What is this article?
Hei-TORQUE Expert 100 -- EU-plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Heidolph for laboratory use. It sits in Overhead stirrers, inside Stirring, shaking & mixing, in Lab instruments.
An overhead stirrer drives a shaft from above, for volumes and viscosities a magnetic bar cannot move. Torque and speed range are the ratings. The chuck and the stand are part of using it. A high-speed disperser is a different head.
Stirring keeps a mixture uniform or helps a solid dissolve. A magnetic stirrer spins a bar inside a closed vessel. An overhead stirrer drives a shaft when the liquid is viscous or the volume is large. A vortex mixer agitates a tube. A shaker moves a whole rack or a plate. The shape of the impeller and the speed decide whether the liquid turns over or merely spins. The vessels being stirred are indexed under ISO laboratory glassware.
