Description

High-temperature furnace with fibre insulation HT 16/18/P570 is a compact stand-alone laboratory furnace built for processes that demand high precision, with a maximum temperature of 1800 °C. Recommended maximum working temperature is approximately 50 °C below Tmax, as higher continuous use increases wear. Dual-shell ventilated housing of textured stainless steel sheets provides low surface temperature and high stability. Heating from both sides is delivered by molybdenum disilicide elements, combined with high-quality fibre insulation and long-life roof insulation with special suspension. Temperature uniformity at 1450 °C reaches up to ± 6 °C according to DIN 17052-1. Only insulation materials without categorization under EC Regulation No 1272/2008 (CLP) are used, so alumino silicate wool (refractory ceramic fibre, RCF) is excluded. A chain-guided parallel swivel door with labyrinth sealing limits temperature loss at the door; from HT 16/16 upwards a reinforced floor protects the bottom insulation (distributed load 5 kg/dm²). A vapor vent in the roof with motorized exhaust air flaps and a stainless steel exhaust hood interface to the customer’s exhaust system. The P570 touch controller from manufacturer Nabertherm supports 50 programs with 40 segments each, with NTLog Basic process-data recording via USB flash drive for defined laboratory applications.

This article is part of Muffle & tube furnaces, in Heating, drying & cooling.

Questions about High-Temperature Furnace with Fiber Insulation, Tmax 1800°C, HT 16/18/P570

What is this article?

High-Temperature Furnace with Fiber Insulation, Tmax 1800°C, HT 16/18/P570 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Nabertherm for laboratory use. It sits in Muffle & tube furnaces, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.

A muffle furnace surrounds a sample with heat for ashing or ignition, often to 1100 °C. A tube furnace heats a sample in a controlled atmosphere inside a tube. The maximum temperature and the chamber size are the specification. A drying oven is not a furnace.

Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
