Description

H.PUR.12.AD is a PUR hose set for laboratory temperature-control circuits, supplied as DN 12 tubing (2 × 1,5 m) complete with four hose clamps, DN 12 olives and M 16x1 nuts for connection to a double-walled reactor vessel. The hoses have an inner diameter of 12 mm and an outer diameter of 16 mm, and are designed for M 16x1 external thread fittings. Operating temperature range is −30 to 90 °C with a pressure resistance of 3 bar. Chemical resistance covers water, silicone oil, ethylene glycol, mineral oil and ethanol, making the set suitable for common heat-transfer media in jacketed reactors and circulator loops. Manufactured by IKA, this accessory package provides a ready-matched interface between thermostats and double-walled reaction vessels in synthesis and process laboratories. The set is delivered as two hose lengths with the matching mechanical connectors for straightforward installation.

This article is part of PVC, PTFE & other tubing, in Tubing, hoses & fittings.

Questions about H.PUR.12.AD, Hose kit incl. M 16x1 connection, PUR 90°C, Ø12 mm, 1.5 m

What is this article?

H.PUR.12.AD, Hose kit incl. M 16x1 connection, PUR 90°C, Ø12 mm, 1.5 m is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes IKA for laboratory use. It sits in PVC, PTFE & other tubing, inside Tubing, hoses & fittings, in Labware.

PVC is the flexible everyday tube for water and mild aqueous liquids. PTFE is the stiff, almost inert tube for solvents. Other polymers sit between them. The bore, the wall and the chemical resistance are the specification, and the tube is cut to length.

Tubing is how a liquid or a gas moves between two vessels without being poured. Silicone stays flexible and survives repeated autoclaving. PTFE resists almost every solvent and is stiff. PVC is the ordinary flexible line for water and for mild aqueous work. The fitting, not the tube, is what usually leaks: the barb, the thread and the stopcock have to match the tube bore. Glass and plastic apparatus around these lines is indexed under ISO laboratory ware.
