Description
IoT-Line compact laboratory balance KERN PCB 10000-1 is a full-range precision balance with a maximum load of 10 kg and a readability of 0,0001 kg. The weighing pan measures 150 mm in width by 170 mm in depth, supporting routine laboratory and light industrial weighing. Designed as a laboratory standard for Industry 4.0 applications, it is compatible with school-oriented software such as Vernier® or LabQuest® and can transfer weighing data via USB using the KERN School Protocol. An integrated KERN Universal Port (KUP) accepts plug-on interface adapters for RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, WLAN or Ethernet without opening the housing; up to three adapters can run in parallel with the KUP-13 extension box. The KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) enables remote query and control from external devices. Practical functions include PRE-TARE, recipe weighing, checkweighing with optical signal, freely programmable units and an anti-shock system between pan and load cell. Battery operation is supported, adjustment is external, and a protective working cover is included. This compact balance from manufacturer Kern suits networked laboratory environments.

Questions about IoT-Line Compact Laboratory Balance KERN, PCB 10000-1
What is this article?
IoT-Line Compact Laboratory Balance KERN, PCB 10000-1 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Kern for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
Which category should I open next?
