Description
IoT-Line precision balance KERN 572-33 is a versatile single-range instrument for laboratory and industrial weighing where high precision and Industry 4.0 connectivity are required. With a maximum load of 1,61 kg and a readability of 0,00001 kg on a 150 mm weighing pan, it supports everyday lab tasks such as recipe weighing and percentage determination as well as industrial piece counting and vibration-free weighing. The KERN Universal Port (KUP) accepts external interface adapters including RS-232, USB, Bluetooth, WLAN or Ethernet for data exchange and control without internal installation work, while the KERN Communication Protocol (KCP) enables remote query and control from external devices or computers. A freely programmable weighing unit allows direct display in application-specific units such as yarn length in g/m or paper weight in g/m². The robust aluminium die-cast housing from manufacturer Kern provides a stable base and protects the weighing mechanics in daily use; a spirit level with adjustable feet and a protective working cover are included as standard.

Questions about IoT-Line Precision Balance KERN 572-33
What is this article?
IoT-Line Precision Balance KERN 572-33 is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Kern for laboratory use. It sits in Precision balances, inside Balances & scales, in Lab instruments.
A precision balance reads more coarsely than an analytical balance, often 1 mg or 10 mg, and it takes a heavier pan load. It is the balance for preparing bulk reagents. Draft, level and a warm-up still move the last digit.
A balance compares a mass with a standard. An analytical balance reads to 0.1 mg or finer and needs a draft shield and a stable bench. A precision balance is coarser and faster. A platform scale takes a heavier load. The reading is only as good as the calibration chain back to the kilogram, which is why test weights and a certificate exist. A moisture analyser is a balance with a heater: it records the loss of mass as water leaves. The unit of mass is kept by the BIPM, compared across Europe by EURAMET, and accredited by BELAC. NIST publishes the same measurement foundations.
