Description
LabHEAT® cased heating mantle KM-M for 4000 ml round-bottom flasks with a flask diameter of 207 mm delivers controlled laboratory heating for distillation, extraction, digestion and synthesis applications. The design pairs a flexible glass-silk heating element with a plastic-coated, chemically resistant metal housing that shields the flask and the work area. Integrated mains and heating-zone switches enable two heating zones at a rated power of 750 W, with a maximum heating-conductor temperature of 450 °C. A 1,5 m mains cable with Schuko plug and residual-current personal protection switch supports safe connection to 230 V AC. Supplied by manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik as one piece, this LabHEAT® KM-M mantle is intended for 4000 ml round-bottom flasks and fits preparative chemistry, analytical sample work and process laboratories requiring stable jacketed heating in a robust outer casing. The dual-zone arrangement helps distribute heat evenly around larger flask volumes during prolonged heating steps.

Questions about LabHEAT® Metal-cased heating mantle KM-M, 4000 ml, 750 W / 230 V
What is this article?
LabHEAT® Metal-cased heating mantle KM-M, 4000 ml, 750 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
