Description
LabHEAT® cased heating mantle KM-ME is intended for 10,000 ml round-bottom flasks with a diameter of 279 mm. A flexible glass-silk heating element is combined with an outer jacket of plastic-coated, chemically resistant metal housing. Built-in mains and heating-zone switches together with an integrated controller enable individual power adjustment across two heating zones. Nominal power is 1400 W at 230 V AC, and the maximum heating-conductor temperature is 450 °C. Connection is via a 1,5 m mains lead with Schuko plug and residual-current personal protection switch for safer laboratory use. Net weight is approximately 11,8 kg. This mantle from manufacturer ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik supports controlled, uniform heating of large round-bottom flasks in synthesis, distillation and general laboratory workflows where chemical resistance of the housing and zone-based power control are required. The cased design protects the heating element during routine handling while remaining suitable for continuous bench or fume-hood operation under the stated electrical ratings.

Questions about LabHEAT® Metal-cased heating mantle KM-ME, 10000 ml, 1400 W / 230 V
What is this article?
LabHEAT® Metal-cased heating mantle KM-ME, 10000 ml, 1400 W / 230 V is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes ISOHEAT/SAF Wärmetechnik for laboratory use. It sits in Heating mantles, inside Heating, drying & cooling, in Lab instruments.
A heating mantle cups a round-bottom flask so the heat meets the glass without a bare flame. The flask volume the mantle was knitted for is the specification. A 1 L mantle under a 250 mL flask heats the air, not the liquid.
Temperature equipment either holds a set point or drives a sample toward one. An oven dries. A furnace reaches the temperatures of ashing and melting. A bath surrounds a vessel with water or oil. A circulator moves that fluid. An incubator holds the mild warmth of a culture. An autoclave uses steam under pressure to sterilise. The number that matters is the temperature the article actually reaches, not the number painted on the dial. Temperature is part of the international system kept by the BIPM and compared by EURAMET.
