Description

Benchtop pH meter METRIA model M21 is an ORP and pH laboratory instrument with automatic or manual temperature compensation between 0 and 100 °C. It covers a pH measuring range of −1,00 to 15,00 with 0,01 resolution and ±0,01 accuracy, and a redox range of ±1999 mV at 1 mV resolution. A standard BNC connector accepts pH or redox electrodes, while a 3,5 mm phone plug serves the CAT temperature sensor.

This article is part of pH meters, in pH & electrochemistry.

Automatic three-point calibration follows USA buffers (pH 4,01, 7,00 and 10,01) or NIST buffers (pH 4,01, 6,86 and 9,18). A backlit LCD and automatic hold function lock the endpoint for clear readout. The package includes buffer solutions (pH 4,01, 7,00 and 10,01), electrode holder, METRIA electrode PHEL-GB1-001 (maximum working temperature 80 °C) and CAT temperature sensor PHMT-PT1-001. Operation is 220 V / 50 Hz; combination with magnetic stirrer STIS-000-001 is recommended. Net weight is 1,800 kg for one unit from manufacturer Labbox, with a two-year warranty.

Questions about METRIA bench top meter model M21, 1pcs, EU plug

What is this article?

METRIA bench top meter model M21, 1pcs, EU plug is the article on this page. Luminix Health distributes Labbox for laboratory use. It sits in pH meters, inside pH & electrochemistry, in Lab instruments.

A pH meter reads the electrode and displays pH, after calibration with at least two buffers. A meter that cannot be calibrated is a voltmeter. Resolution to 0.001 is not the same as accuracy. Portable and benchtop meters differ in the electrodes they accept and in the data they store.

A pH meter is a voltmeter on a glass electrode. The voltage tracks hydrogen-ion activity, and the electrode is converted to pH only after it is adjusted with buffers of known value. Conductivity measures how well a solution carries a current, which for dilute salts tracks concentration. Dissolved oxygen and titration are further electrodes on the same idea: a sensor, a standard, and a reading that is only as fresh as the calibration. Buffer values and chemical identity sit on PubChem. Accreditation of the calibration laboratory is the field of BELAC and EURAMET.
